"Flute Fantasy" promises an enchanting musical journey through the brilliant works of renowned composers, showcasing the flute's versatility and expressive range. The concert opens with Christoph Willibald Gluck's ethereal "Dance of Blessed Spirits," setting a celestial tone. W.A. Mozart's delightful "Andante in C Major" and captivating "Rondo in D Major" follow, revealing the composer's mastery of melodic elegance.
J.S. Bach's Sonata in g minor, featuring three movements of contrasting tempos (Allegro, Adagio, Allegro), offers a glimpse into the Baroque era's intricate compositions. Gaetano Donizetti's Sonata in C Major seamlessly blends lyrical largos with spirited allegros, showcasing the flute's dynamic capabilities.
The program continues with Amilcare Ponchielli's "Fantasia on the opera ‘La Gioconda,’” an evocative exploration of operatic themes. Gioachino Rossini's Cavatina from ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ adds a lively touch, and the concert reaches its climax with Georges Bizet's "Fantasie Brillante on Themes from the opera ‘Carmen’," an exuberant finale that captures the drama and passion of this iconic opera. "Flute Fantasy" promises an evening of diverse musical landscapes, skillfully navigated by the flute's expressive prowess.

1. Luisa Sello (Flute):
Luisa Sello, defined by the New York Concert Review “lovely mix of extroverted passion and genuine tenderness, with excellent breath control, brilliant technical rendering, engaging intensity, sonorous range and abundance of charm” is a Flute Miyazawa Artist and an Ambassador of Music and Italian Culture, supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture. Her international career includes collaborations with Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Riccardo Muti, Wien Symphoniker Orchestra, Thailand Symphony Orchestra, Trevor Pinnock, Alirio Diaz, Philippe Entremont, Bruno Canino, Karl Leister, Carnegie Hall, Juilliard School, Suntory Hall, Prazak string quartet, the composers Salvatore Sciarrino, Aldo Clementi, Rainer Bischof (première performances).
Already Flute Professor at the Academy of Music in Milano and Trieste (Italy), she is actually Professor for doctoral PhD in ‘Flute Performance’ at the New Bulgarian University of Sofia (Bulgaria) and visiting professor at the Universities in Vienna, Madrid, Beijing, Melbourne, New York, Kyoto, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, among others. In obtaining both her ArtD in Performing Arts and her PhD in Linguistic and Literary Sciences, she studied in Paris with Raymond Guiot and Alain Marion, who proclaimed her “very musical, superb,” at the Accademia Chigiana with Severino Gazzelloni, who remarked her “magnificent interpretive sensibility and excellent sound”, and with Conrad Klemm in Rome who wrote about her ‘virtuosity without sacrificing expressiveness’.
She records for Stradivarius, Dynamic (Italy) and Millennium (Beijing). She is the founder of the ‘Odelette Project’ in Thailand, for the musical education of tribal girls in Chiang Saen). She is awarded the honorary distinction “Cavaliere al Merito” of the Italian Republic.
2. Nat Yontararak (Piano):
Praised for his subtlety in bringing together Thai and western music in a perfect potion, Nat Yontararak has always had an exquisite taste in composing contemporary Thai music for piano. His music is tangible for non-Thais as well as recognisable for Thais for its distinct sound. They are also pianistically challenging, making it exciting for pianists to play. He has composed three sonatas and is currently working on a new one. He also composed other separate contemporary pieces for piano as well as having written many arrangements for piano and harp. As a concert pianist, he has toured across Europe as well as the United States, representing Thailand through Thai music with his piano compositions on an international stage.
As an educator, Nat Yontararak built his own private piano institute in Bangkok which has produced numerous quality pianists, who are now working in different fields from performance, to teaching, and composing.
