ABOUT: Sala Sudasiri Sobha is a 180 seat concert hall situated in the heart of Ladprao. It is built in 2012 by Nat Yontararak — a pianist, composer, and educator — as part of Nat Studio, his own private music school. The hall is named after Princess Sudasiri Sobha, his patroness, first cousin to HM King Rama IX.

With the motto of the school “Discover your talent at Nat Studio”; the hall was built to let young talents shine in the best environment possible.

We aim to support young artists by giving them space to show their gifts to a wider audience of music enthusiasts. For the past 11 years, SALA has organized more than 180 concerts promoting quality Thai artists as well as more than 70 concerts promoting international artists to Thai audience. We have worked with numerous embassies such as Italy, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, etc. We have organized classical music concerts, jazz concerts, as well as contemporary dance performance.

"SALA FREE STAGE" This audition has the objective to give opportunities for ANY young talents to perform at Sala Sudasiri Sobha. Not only that many will have a chance to try to perform in front of an audience at SALA in the final round of the audition; ONE artist (or a group) will get to perform their full programme as part of SALA Concert Series 2025.

3. VDO(s) of your recent performances (not longer than 10 mins)

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. All participants must be 18 - 30 years of age.

2. ONLY acoustic instruments are acceptable in the performance.

3. All genres of music (as long as it is acoustic) are welcome.

4. You can participate as a group OR as a solo artist.

5. If you participate as a group, the total number of members must not exceed 5.

6. ONLY VDO recording by PHONE is allowed in the final round.

7. Decision from the jury is final.

8. Any alteration on the piano IS NOT ALLOWED.

REQUIREMENTS

Please note that the artist's profile, PR photos, and proposed programme (A-D) should be combined into ONE google drive. All information MUST BE in ENGLISH

A. Artist's Profile Requirements:

1. A paragraph about yourself (or your band)

- This is to present who you are, what you do, and what kind of music you play.

2. Must be at least 250 words

3. Upload to a google drive

B. PR Photos Requirements:

1. Must be at least 2 Mb.

2. Clear photos of yourself (or your band)

3. Colour photos only.

4. Upload to a google drive

C. Proposed Programme for SALA Concert Series 2025 Requirements:

1. Must be 60 mins. long for the SALA Concert Series 2025

2. Please indicate the section of the programme you would like to perform in the final round (Sept. 22, 2024). This must not exceed 15 mins.

3. The file should include ONE paragraph explaining the concept of your proposed programme. 4. Upload to a google drive D. Copy of your ID card or Passport

1. For a group, please provide a copy of ID card or passport of each member of your group.

2.  For solo, please provide ONE.

E. VDO Requirements:

1. Must be a VDO of recent performance (not older than 6 months)

2. ONLY acoustic instruments are acceptable in the performance.

3. All genres of music (as long as it is acoustic) are welcome.

4. Must be in horizontal

5. Must see the participant(s) clearly

6. Must not exceed 10 mins. (It can be one piece or a collection of pieces) 7. Upload into ONE YouTube link. Please select "unlisted" when upload.
