JENO LISZTES:

Jeno Lisztes, born in Budapest in 1986, is a prodigious talent on the cimbalom, Hungary's most iconic instrument. Starting his musical journey at the tender age of four, Jeno carries a rich family tradition of cimbalom mastery, being the third generation in his family to play this intricate instrument. His early training under Ágnes Szakály and advanced studies at the prestigious Franz Liszt Music Academy under Ilona Szeverényi Gerencsérné culminated in his graduation as a cimbalom teacher and artist in 2010.

Since 2006, Jeno has been a vital member of the Roby Lakatos Ensemble and leads his own jazz trio, the Jeno Lisztes Cimbalom Project. His extraordinary skill has seen him grace the world's most renowned stages, including Carnegie Hall, Musikverein, Concertgebouw, Bozar, and the Palace of Arts in Budapest. He has collaborated with famous symphonic orchestras and contributed to the soundtrack of the Hollywood blockbuster "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" by Hans Zimmer.

Invited by the esteemed Ivan Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Jeno performed at the BBC Proms in 2018. In 2023, his performances included a significant appearance at the European Parliament on International Holocaust Day and a series of concerts with the New York Philharmonic, led by renowned Finnish conductor Susanna Mälkki, at David Geffen Hall and Lincoln Center.

Jeno Lisztes’s concerts are not merely performances; they are an exquisite celebration of musical heritage and innovation, promising to leave audiences spellbound.
