In his largest solo concert to date, Julian Cary steps forward as a composer with a full program of original music written for string sextet, with Cary on piano and vocals. This includes his most recent EP, He Who Carries Heavy Things. Colored by lush textures and impressionistic soundscapes, these modern compositions weave intimate stories from Cary's life, ranging from contemplations of birth and death to the breaking and mending of his own heart.
