ABOUT:

"Flute Fantasy" promises an enchanting musical journey through the brilliant works of renowned composers, showcasing the flute's versatility and expressive range. The concert opens with Christoph Willibald Gluck's ethereal "Dance of Blessed Spirits," setting a celestial tone. W.A. Mozart's delightful "Andante in C Major" and captivating "Rondo in D Major" follow, revealing the composer's mastery of melodic elegance.

J.S. Bach's Sonata in g minor, featuring three movements of contrasting tempos (Allegro, Adagio, Allegro), offers a glimpse into the Baroque era's intricate compositions. Gaetano Donizetti's Sonata in C Major seamlessly blends lyrical largos with spirited allegros, showcasing the flute's dynamic capabilities.

The program continues with Amilcare Ponchielli's "Fantasia on the opera ‘La Gioconda,’” an evocative exploration of operatic themes. Gioachino Rossini's Cavatina from ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ adds a lively touch, and the concert reaches its climax with Georges Bizet's "Fantasie Brillante on Themes from the opera ‘Carmen’," an exuberant finale that captures the drama and passion of this iconic opera. "Flute Fantasy" promises an evening of diverse musical landscapes, skillfully navigated by the flute's expressive prowess.
