NUMPARK SRIBANDITMONGKOL - Erhu Soloist
Numpark Sribanditmongkol is one of Thailand's leading erhu performers, recognised for his artistry and dedication to Chinese bowed-string music. Numpark received professional training under distinguished masters including Guo Zitang (郭子棠), former member of the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra; Ma Dongyan (馬東岩) of the Central Conservatory of Music; and Zhao Jianhua (赵建华), former Head of the Erhu Section of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and a distinguished disciple of the legendary erhu master Min Huifen (闵惠芬).
An award-winning musician, Numpark won the Gold Medal at the World Erhu Competition 2023 (Open Category), following previous international successes including the Melbourne Youth String Competition (2017) and the Dunhuang Cup International Erhu Competition (2019). He is also the first Thai musician to achieve Grade 10 Erhu Certification with Outstanding Distinction from the Central Conservatory of Music Examination Centre.
