ARIA is a concert that reclaims the voice of the bassoon. So often seen as comic relief, tonight she becomes the storyteller — soulful, complex, expressive, and bold. In the hands of internationally acclaimed bassoonist Jo Anne Sukumaran and pianist Aya Sakou, this instrument transforms from background to spotlight.
