Yada Lee:
Violinist Yada Lee has performed as a guest violinist with Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company, Dubrovnik Symphony and Charleston Symphony to name a few. She was a member of Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra since 2008, and now a member of Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. Dedicated to the betterment of society, she has given countless benefit concerts for charitable organisations in Thailand, such as Operation Smile Thailand, The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, Wheelchair and Friendship Centre of Asia, Wishing Well Foundation,
Thai Red Cross Society, and more.
Ms. Lee has recently completed her orchestral fellowship at New World Symphony. Winner of numerous awards and competitions, Ms Lee has been a winner at the Concerto Competition at Mannes School of Music, first prize at the Beethoven National String Competition Thailand, and is a grant recipient from the New York Foundation for the Arts, Peter M. Gross Fund, and the Late Princess Galyani Vadhana Foundation. She made her New York solo debut at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in 2014, performing Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 1.
Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Ms. Lee holds a Master’s degree from Mannes School of Music, a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory. Ms. Lee studied with Paul Kantor, Barry Shiffman, Laurie Smukler and David Bowlin.
